Aim: personal & professional development of mentors & mentees through award winning projects

Beneficiary: a diverse group of young people from across the social spectrum, encompassing a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.

Collaborator: EY and DIANA WARDS.

About: Rising Stars, established in 2018, is a program dedicated to achieving the UN goal of quality education, while simultaneously addressing a variety of other important issues through individual school projects. We firmly believe that investing in the education and development of young minds will yield significant long-term benefits for pupils' personal and professional growth. Our Enactus Aston Mentors not only provide invaluable coaching and guidance, but also gain important skills and experience that will benefit them throughout their careers.

Our Mentors are selected with care and undergo comprehensive training, allowing them to guide and support their teams effectively. This involves a structured approach of two mentors per team, meeting for one hour every two weeks at the respective school. In addition, our mentors serve as a vital communication link between the Birmingham Civic Society and the project team's teacher, ensuring that budget spending and project manifestation align with program goals and objectives.

Activities: Our organization conducts mentoring sessions with students, offering guidance and advice to aid in the development of their projects. Through our program, we strive to encourage and celebrate progress, instilling a sense of confidence and motivation that empowers our mentees to reach their full potential.
